The law requires minimum temperatures of 16°C in general working conditions and 13°C in situations where strenuous labour is performed. The workplace is required to be at a comfortable temperature . Workplaces are required to be adequately ventilated, thus providing clean air to employees and building occupants.
Other than failing to deliver suitable working conditions, under performing and infrequently serviced heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems pose several health and safety risks if there is no robust maintenance plan.
Our qualified HVAC engineers can service and maintain your heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to the standards as set out by the F-Gas Regulations 2014 (as amended 2023) and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 . Depending on your systems output you may also need a regular TM44 inspection as per the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). We can provide guidance this and other requirements your system may have.
Gas Safety Compliance Inspections
If you have commercial catering equipment on your premises then you will need a CP42 certificate to confirm you have had your annual commercial gas catering safety inspection completed.
It is also recommended that you have your gas distribution and service pipework inspected annually for a Commercial Gas Safety Certificate to be issued.
